Park Ranger

Pay Scale: $14.00 per hour
Two (2) to Four (4) Positions Available

General Summary: Responsible for the opening and closing of park gates, enforces park rules and regulations, responds to citizen’s complaints in the parks, and works closely with the Police Department on ordinance violations and problem areas. Work is performed in all types of weather, over varied terrain, and frequently involves bike patrol by riding a bicycle for extended periods of time.

Minimum Requirements: Valid Michigan driver's license and a safe driving record. Training in the areas of law enforcement and code enforcement is preferred.

Employment Duration: Not to exceed nine (9) months, depending on hours worked.
