Volunteer Opportunities

The City of Mt. Pleasant Parks & Recreation department appreciates our volunteers beyond words. They contribute their time, knowledge, enthusiasm, talents, and past experiences to aid in enhancing the programs and services we offer to our community and visitors.

To volunteer your time or services follow these steps:

The Great Egg Scramble - Finch Fieldhouse (CMU Campus)

A minimum of 50 volunteers are needed for this event. Volunteers assist with games, arts & crafts, photos with Peter Cottontail, refreshments, and the Egg Scramble. Volunteers can come dressed in casual cloths.

Times volunteers are needed: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00p.m.
Parks & Recration will provide pizza for lunch for all volunteers - feel free to bring a friend along!!!!

Start Smart™ Tee-Ball - Sunnyside Park, 1511 Elm Street

A total of four volunteers are needed for this program. Volunteers assist with coaching children and parents on Tee-Ball skills (Lessons Provided). Volunteers can come dressed in athletic cloths.
Tuesday, May 8 - June 12, 2012
Wednesday, May 9 - June 13, 2012
Times volunteers are needed: 5:15-7:30 p.m.

PEAK

PEAK is looking for dedicated volunteers that desire to work with school-aged youth within a school setting.  We are flexible with individual schedules and time commitments. We can tailor your volunteer schedule to include different types of experiences including small group: work, general programming, tutoring, etc.

1. Print out and complete the Volunteer Contract and Background Check
2. Call the Volunteer Coordinator at (989) 779-5331 for more information regarding volunteer opportunities OR email us at parks-rec@mt-pleasant.org
