The mission of the City of Mt. Pleasant's Parks & Recreation department is to improve the character of life in Mt. Pleasant by providing and maintaining adequate open space and quality indoor/outdoor recreational opportunities and facilities for the enjoyment and well-being of all area residents and visitors.
Our City Parks also feature many special attractions including the Michigan Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, a fantastic Spray Park at our Island Park, a dynamic Skate Park, or visit the Access Adventure Trail in Chipp-a-Waters Park.

Weather Cancellations and Notations
There are no program or event cancellations at this time.
In the case of inclement weather, updates will be posted on the City of Mt. Pleasant Website (Parks and Recreation link), Facebook, and on the Parks and Recreation weather hotline. Cancellations will be made as far in advance as possible, but if cancellation has not been made 30 minutes prior to program, determination will be made at the program. Please check the weather cancellation outlets frequently for up to the minute program updates.
