NEC 2008 CODE UPDATE

The City of Mt. Pleasant’s Department of Building Safety is responsible for reviewing and processing all building permits for construction projects throughout the city. Each application is reviewed for compliance with the State Building Codes and the City’s Zoning Ordinance. Department personnel follow the process from the beginning of the project to completion to assure the safety for all city residents. In addition, the staff works closely with the Department of Fire Safety and the Community Development personnel on life safety/housing licensing issues and rehabilitation programs.
