The Engineering Department is responsible for maintaining
the records of all construction done within City
rights-of-way. Construction plans are available for the
streets, storm sewers, water mains, sidewalks, and sanitary
sewers throughout the City. Because of the age of some of
the utility systems in the City, detailed plans are not
always available. Plat maps showing property boundaries and
aerial topographic maps of the community are also available.
A system of electronic maps is being developed for each
of the major utility systems in the City. These maps are a
part of the City's developing geographic information system
(GIS). These maps provide plan view locations for the known
utility lines and are useful for planning purposes. For

Residents are encouraged to contact the Engineering
Department if they have questions about utility locations.
