The Mt. Pleasant Fire Department would like to introduce paid-on-call Fire Captain Bernie Schafer. Bernie has been an integral part of our department since January 1984. In addition to the responsibilities of a paid-on-call Fire Captain, Bernie is an Emergency Medical Technician - Specialist. He is also a member of the Technical Rescue and the Isabella County Hazardous Materials Teams. This community is fortunate to have Bernie Schafer as a member of its fire department. We are all well served by his pride, service, and dedication.
