On February 10th 2005, firefighters trained on vehicle
stabilization. The Res-Q-Jack system is a newly purchased stabilization
system and when used in accident scenes, the system helps to stabilize
vehicles for safe and effective extrication.

Emergency Egress
On June 10, 2004 firefighters trained for last resort
emergency egress operations. This procedure is only used if all other
options of escaping have been utilized.

SCBA Operations
On May 27, 2004 firefighters performed rescue operations
in a smoke filled structure. The training drill operation incorporated using
buddy breather systems, victim rescues, and R.I.T. deployment.

Technical Rescue
The Technical Rescue Team is certified in the following
areas; water rescue, trench rescue, high angle rope rescue, structural
collapse rescue, and confined space rescue. The team is comprised of police
and fire personnel and extends joint training sessions for area fire
departments.

Piercing Nozzle
Piercing Nozzle - The fire department trains with their
new piercing nozzle. The nozzle is designed to pierce through doors, walls,
floors, ceilings and even block walls.
