On February 10th 2005, firefighters trained on vehicle
stabilization. The Res-Q-Jack system is a newly purchased stabilization system
and when used in accident scenes, the system helps to stabilize vehicles for
safe and effective extrication.

Emergency Egress
On June 10, 2004 firefighters trained for last resort
emergency egress operations. This procedure is only used if all other options
of escaping have been utilized.

SCBA Operations
On May 27, 2004 firefighters performed rescue operations
in a smoke filled structure. The training drill operation incorporated using
buddy breather systems, victim rescues, and R.I.T. deployment.

Firefighter Challenge
Members of the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department compete
against each other annually in a firefighter challenge course. There are five
stations in the event; equipment carry, hose pulling, sledge hammer, charged
hose line advance, and dummy carry.

Piercing Nozzle
Piercing Nozzle - The fire department trains with their
new piercing nozzle. The nozzle is designed to pierce through doors, walls,
floors, ceilings and even block walls.
