Cash Receipts Profile |
The
Treasury/Property Tax/Cash
Receipts staff of the
Treasurer’s office serves the
citizens of the City as it’s
cashier and the other
departments of the City.
The
responsibilities of the
department include:
- Receipt
and deposit all income of
the City
- Bill the
City property taxes and
special assessments
- Bill,
receipt and disburse the
property taxes for Mt.
Pleasant Public Schools, the
State of Michigan, the
Regional Education Service
District, Chippewa River
District Library, Isabella
County and Isabella County
Transportation Commission
- Manage
and invest all City funds
- Serve on
the Police & Fire Pension
Board and assist in
management and investing
pension funds

Administer the Police & Fire
Pension Plan
- Provide
accounting & internal audit
function for the City
- Provide
grant management for the
City
- Supervise
and assist in the
preparation of the City’s
payroll
