The City of Mt. Pleasant is hiring election inspectors for the August 2 Primary and November 8 General elections.


Riverside Cemetery spring cleanup
April 11, 2016

The City of Mt. Pleasant Parks Department will begin preparing Riverside Cemetery for spring cleanup. Individual lot owners are asked to remove all flowers, materials, garden hoses and other decorations from the cemetery by April 15 or they will be discarded. Riverside Cemetery is open from dawn to dusk every day to accommodate those needing to remove decorations.


City of Mt. Pleasant Hires New Public Relations Coordinator
September 14, 2015

The City of Mt. Pleasant announces the hiring of Molli Ferency as the new Public Relations Coordinator. Molli joined the Communications Department on September 14, 2015 and will be reporting directly to the City Clerk, Jeremy Howard.


Mt. Pleasant Adopts Complete Streets Ordinance
July 15, 2015

Consistent with the community’s status as one of the most walkable and bikeable in the State of Michigan, the City of Mt. Pleasant has passed a Complete Streets ordinance, the 26th Michigan community to do so to date. Adopted unanimously by the City Commission on June 22, the ordinance ensures that the planning of capital projects within the community will include, from the outset, the design elements necessary to provide for the needs of all legal roadway users.

City of Mt. Pleasant voting districts change
July 20, 2012

As the August 7 primary approaches, it is important for Mt. Pleasant City residents to be aware that six of the seven voting districts within the City have changed due to results from the 2010 Census.
