Mt. Pleasant Parks & Recreation Master Plan Document

The purpose of the current Mt. Pleasant Parks and Recreation Master Plan is to guide recreation planning and development efforts of the Parks and Recreation Department through 2009. The plan was approved by the Mt. Pleasant Parks and Recreation Commission on February 24, 2004 and by the Mt. Pleasant Planning Commission on March 4, 2004 and was adopted by the City Commission on April 12, 2004.

The revised and updated Plan is part of the overall City Comprehensive Plan to help shape the future of the community and is designed to meet State standards for community recreation planning necessary to gain eligibility to grant programs. The plan will also serve as a funding guide for the City Commission as they adopt on-going capital improvement plans and annual operating budgets in upcoming years. A complete hard copy can be viewed at Veterans Memorial Library and The Mt. Pleasant Parks and Recreation Department office located at 401 N. Main St. in Mt. Pleasant.
