Parks and Recreation Commission

The Mt. Pleasant Parks & Recreation Commission advises the City Commission on leisure time needs of the community. The commission also plans for development of park facilities and recreation programs. Please see roster or call 989-779-5333 for more information.

Unless otherwise noted, the Parks and Recreation Commission meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. The meetings are held in the City Commission Chambers, Mt. Pleasant City Hall, 320 W. Broadway. Please see roster or call (989) 779-5328 for more information.

Proposed minutes of each of the meetings listed above will be available for public inspection during regular business hours at the office of Mt. Pleasant Parks and Recreation, City Hall, 320 W. Broadway St., Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858, not more than eight (8) business days after the date of said meeting, and approved minutes of each meeting will be available for public inspection during regular business hours, at the same location, not more than five (5) business days after the meeting at which the minutes are approved.

All interested persons may attend and participate. Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate may call the Human Resources Office at 989-779-5300, ext. 5314. Persons requiring speech or hearing assistance may contact the City through the Michigan Relay Center at 7-1-1. A 48-hour advance notice is necessary for accommodation.
