Adopt-A-Bench or Table
The Adopt-A-Bench/Table Program provides civic-minded individuals the opportunity to purchase a bench or table that not only provides rest and relaxation for park visitors, but also allows for the recognition of a group or individual in a unique and lasting manner.
The City of Mt. Pleasant launched the Adopt-a-Bench or Table program in February 2012 to improve visitor experiences within the City of Mt. Pleasant parks. Each tax-deductible donation will have an individualized engraved plaque.
How to adopt a bench or table
- Complete the application and send to MPPR.
- You will be contacted via phone or email to confirm receipt of your request. The Parks and Recreation Commission must confirm all qualified Adopt-a-Bench/Table requests by resolution, allowing for public input and comment.
- Once confirmed, patrons will be asked to enter into a maintenance and life-cycle agreement with the City of Mt. Pleasant, and prior to install, an agreed upon location will be selected for the bench or table.
